There is nothing worse than finding out that your one night stand thinks that it was more than that. You thought you made things perfectly clear but she seems to think that this is the start of something magical. Now she’s calling you and wants to see you again and you’re forced to find a way to shake her. Good luck with that. Your best bet is to just avoid this situation entirely. How do you do that? Make sure that the next girl you decide to take home with you is just as opposed to getting into something serious as you are. The key is knowing how to spot that girl.

Things to Look For

The biggest thing to look for is woman who has way too much going on in her life for you. If she’s just started a new job, she’s going to be way too busy and stressed to worry about seeing you again. She will mostly likely want to release a little stress then not have to worry about you again. You can also look for a woman who has a major life event coming up. If she’s about to move, there is no way she will be able to fit you into all her boxes. Likewise, if she’s the maid of honor in her best friend’s wedding, you’ve hit the jackpot. Not only is she probably feeling a little upset that yet another friend is getting married, but she’ll be too busy planning parties to give you a second thought.

You can also look for a woman who’s in an independent phase. This is a phase in which women want nothing less than a man in their lives, unless it’s for a little fun. This usually comes after a break up or after their mother asks for the umpteenth time when they’re going to settle down and have kids. They have found some reason to prove, either to themselves or to someone else, that they don’t need a man and they don’t want one. Whether this is true or not is of no consequence. The point is they won’t want you to call after. They want to use you for your body, which is perfect.

No matter what type of woman you decide fits the bill for the evening, try and listen for key words to tell if she will want more. If she talks about how all of her friends are involved, she probably wants to be too. If she keeps mentioning how nice it would be to share things with someone or how much she would like to not do something alone, avoid getting caught up in that, she definitely wants more. You want to listen to for phrases like “too busy” or “so much on my plate.” These are good signs that she won’t have time for something serious. If you take a few minutes before you hook up to find a girl who only wants tonight, you won’t have to worry about awkward calls or texts tomorrow.
