When you’re trying for a one night stand, there are a lot of things that factor into a successful one. You want her to think you’re hot but not boyfriend material. You want her to want you tonight but not in the morning. You want her to think the one night stand is her idea so you don’t have to worry about texts or calls later. And, most importantly, you want to be in control of the exit.

When you find yourself waking up after a night of fun in your apartment with a girl next to you, you’re bound to have mixed emotions. One, you’ve just had sex, so good on you. But, two, now there is a woman in your apartment and you have no idea how she’s going to behave when she wakes up. She may be fine, say goodbye, and leave, or she may want breakfast and to snuggle and see you tomorrow. Now she knows where you live and she’s learned all kinds of things about you by being in your house. You do not want to have to deal with this, especially if you have a hangover.

Getting to Her Place Is Vital

The best way to avoid all of this is to simply hook up at her place. Not only will you not have to deal with her snooping through your drawers or your medicine cabinet, you won’t have to worry about how long the morning after is going to last. If you wake up before her, you can just slip out. If you wake up with her or after her, you can make up any number of excuses to have to go – you have to work, you are meeting friends, or you have to let your dog out. This puts you in the driver’s seat and gives you the power to get out.

So how do you get there? The first step is not to mention your place at all. When you make the move to leave wherever you are and get some place with less clothes, use general phrases like, “Do you want to get out of here?” or “Let’s go someplace quieter.” Don’t ask questions like, “Your place or mine?” This opens up the option of going to your place and you don’t want that on the table.

You should also always have an excuse ready as to why you can’t go over. If you use excuses like your place is messy or your roommates might be up, be ready with a backup. Some girls won’t care about how it looks or your roommates. You want to use more specific excuses, like your roommates parents are in town and staying at your place or your roommate is having a romantic dinner for his anniversary and asked that you stay away. Not only will this make you seem considerate, but it’s a solid reason that you can’t go to your place. This is the best way to get down and dirty at her house and avoid some morning drama.
